About the Cookoff

Non-Profit Partner to be Announced Soon

The event will include local restaurants, businesses and neighborhood cooks competing against each other for the title “BEST Mac & Cheese in Chester County”.  The community will be asked to pay an entrance fee to sample each participant’s dish. The public will be limited to one tasting per contestant until voting ends at 3pm.

Each voting attendee will be provided with 3 tokens to vote on his/her favorite dish(es) and voting will take place in a single location, NOT at the competitors booth

A panel of judges will judge each mac-n-cheese dish, as well as the community will vote for People’s Choice and Kid’s Choice winners.

In the last year, we supported several new projects in addition to our eleven annual projects: Honeybrook Food Pantry Holiday Toy Drive; Downingtown Alert #1 and Minquas Fire Companies; and our fourth Gaga Ball Court at The Pointe in Parkesburg.

The idea of the Chester County Mac & Cheese Cookoff originated from the idea of holding an event that promotes the use of local food products and encourages sustainable agriculture, while bringing awareness of what’s available in the public’s backyard. We hope to have a lot of FUN and raise money for Rotary Initiatives. We encourage our cook-off participants to visit our local artisans/farms to include local artisan’s products in your tasty dish!

We strongly recommend you buy your tickets in advance as ticket sales will be limited again this year. They may be pre-purchased online at Ticketleap. We sold out last year before the event started, so we cannot promise tickets will be available at the event. Watch our website and social media for details.

We’ve added a new event this year, Hometown Showdown. Individuals will make a small batch for a limited number of attendees. This event will be treated like a VIP event, starting at 11am and tickets will include one beverage. Tickets will be $20 and include the Main Event Competition activities. See Ticketleap.com for details.

Parking is available on the street near the event, in the parking lot on Pennsylvania Avenue and inside Kerr Park.  If there is excessive rain leading up to the event, the parking lot on Pennsylvania Avenue will hold our event and will be closed to public parking (except for handicap parking).

Depending on the weather and the turnout, competitors may run out of mac & cheese.  Make sure to come early to taste all of the competitors tasty dishes!

Bring your I.D. if you plan on enjoying the East Branch Brewing beer garden.

Park policies have changed. We are now allowed to bring your furry family members to the Cook-off!

Main Event: Nine awards will be provided to three categories: Judge’s Choice, People’s Choice, and Kids’ Choice.

Hometown Showdown: Three awards will be provided based on People’s Choice.
